Simulation Nurse for the Emergency Department in Skövde

Do you want to combine emergency care with education, development, and simulation? The Emergency Department in Skövde has undergone a significant transformation and now operates in state-of-the-art, bright, and well-adapted facilities.

With a capacity for approximately 70,000 patients per year, a new pediatric emergency unit with its own child track, and radiology in direct connection, we are one of Sweden's largest and most modern emergency departments. We are one of the region's five trauma hospitals and receive patients in medicine, surgery, orthopedics, infection, pediatrics, gynecology, as well as ENT and ophthalmology. We are now looking for someone who wants to join our ongoing development journey in a specialized role as a simulation nurse — where you will help drive and develop our simulation and education activities.

About the Role

As a simulation nurse, you will be a central part of:

• driving and developing the simulation activities, with a particular focus on everyday simulation, trauma, and pediatric simulation
• being pedagogically responsible for educational matters
• collaborating closely with colleagues in competence support, MT/IT responsible, unit managers, and other professional categories at the hospital
• working in a team consisting of two nurses and one nursing assistant
• creating training and simulation opportunities that strengthen both individual competence and teamwork in our clinical everyday life.

You will receive simulation training to acquire the skills required for the role. Previous experience in simulation is an advantage but not a requirement — the most important thing is that you are pedagogical, development-oriented, and have a good value base.

Alongside your simulation and education responsibilities, you will also be part of the clinical operations where you work with emergency care and specialized nursing in a team together with nursing assistants and doctors.
